Through this, we will develop our skills, including locating key geographical features, identifying physical and human characteristics of places, and understanding how location influenced the development of the Maya civilization.

Writing Engaging Stories

This year, we have an exciting variety of writing opportunities that will help us grow as confident authors. To begin, we will focus on narrative writing inspired by the short film ‘Dangle’. After watching the beginning of the film, we will use our creativity to craft our own unique and engaging endings to the story. Along the way, we will experiment with a variety of sentence structures and enhance our writing with ambitious vocabulary to captivate our readers.

Exploring Inspiring Stories Through Reading

This term, we will be diving into two captivating books, which will inspire and engage us as we explore themes of courage, determination, and adventure.

This illustrated adaptation introduces readers to a remarkable story of a teenage girl who risked her life for the right to go to school.
Raised in a changing Pakistan by an enlightened father from a poor background and a beautiful, illiterate mother, Malala was taught to stand up for her beliefs.
